James McAvoy, Samuel L. Jackson and Sarah Paulson at the Glass London premiere
Tonight the cast of Glass – Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy, Sarah Paulson and Anya Taylor-Joy – joined director M. Night Shyamalan on the white carpet of the U.K. premiere at London’s Curzon Mayfair.
It was freezing cold but it was still one of the best premieres I’d done in a while. Jackson was in a fantastic mood (he’s not always) and he was determined to speak to everyone on the press line, which he did. He showed up EARLY (this never happens!) and he also covered all the fans and kept up banter with them throughout. They kept shouting at him to come over while he was doing interviews and he kept jokingly telling them to shut up. His interactions with the fans cracked me up.
McAvoy was also quality. He had a lot of energy and enthusiasm and was up and down the carpet, signing for all the fans, doing the press, posing for pics with the cast and his family and doing social media videos. He was everywhere – hugging Jackson (see pics below), high-fiving Paulson, photobombing Taylor-Joy – and also told his fans not to stand outside too long otherwise they’ll get hypothermia!
Paulson, Taylor-Joy and Shyamalan were all brilliant with the fans and press too. The only letdown was Willis, which wasn’t much of a surprise. He showed up when the movie was about to start, did photos and walked straight in, perhaps signing a few autographs. He also seemed quite grumpy.
Glass is in cinemas from the 18th January.
